Curran joined the LJCG Team in the summer of 2015. Curran is a Colorado native who grew up on her family’s cattle ranch, where she gained an appreciation for the importance of water. Prior to law school, Curran attended Grinnell College in Iowa, where she was a member of the Women’s Basketball team. She spent three years working for the Jackson County Administrator’s Office in Walden, CO, where she was also involved in the IBCC North Platte Basin Roundtable as Education Liaison and completed the Colorado Foundation for Water Education’s Water Leaders Program in 2008. Curran attended law school at the University of Wyoming College of Law, where she was a member of the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Club and focused on Water, Oil and Gas, Land Use and Natural Resources Law. Prior to joining the firm, Curran worked for a Denver law firm specializing in Mineral Title Examination and Title Curative, where she completed numerous complex Drilling and Division Order Title Opinions covering the Denver-Julesburg Basin. Curran represents clients in matters that include adjudication of new surface and groundwater rights, change of water rights, augmentation plans, purchase and sale of water rights, contracts, real property transactions and land use issues.
